The script was written for Seattle / Puget sound area. There are many coastlines in British Columbia that have similar location shots and may have significant tax / financial incentives for productions that happen within specfic regions.
Apparently Oregon also has favorable tax incentives as well as direct compensation directed to projects that are produced in the state.
